Octoberfest started in 1810 to celebrate the wedding of Bavaria’s Crown Prince Ludwig married Princess Therese of Saxony. The celebration became and annual event. Though we can travel to Munich Germany this year for for Oktoberfest this year, why not celebrate closer to home. Blackmoor Bar and Kitchen in Charlestown, currently has an extensive Octoberfest menu. This casual neighborhood place featuring 34 rotating draughts, elite bottled beers, cask ale, draught wine, craft spirits and custom cocktails and a menu that is a mix of traditional tavern favorites, burgers, sandwiches and flat bread pizzas.
